THE SOUND OF BLACK CULTURE
Music has always been an important part of Black culture, and it continues to be a powerful force for social and cultural change. It has provided a means for African Americans to tell their stories and to have their voices heard, and it continues to inspire and influence people around the world.
The Black Food Truck Festival invites bands from across the Southeast to perform at the festival each season. As they represent different genres from funk/soul to jazz, each band brings a immersive musical experience you can dance and sing to.
Live Entertainment
Performing at the Black Food Truck Festival is by invite-only. We aim to bring our attendees the best musical talent, who can create a feeling of nostalgia, high energy, and great laughs.
DJ Sets
In between performances, Charleston’s own Deejay Rubin gives us throwback hits from the 80s and 90s.
The Opening Party
To kick off the 2-day Festival, we host an opening at The Wonderer located in downtown Charleston.
